Advent Giving 2020 | Week 2

Each year, we take time as a congregation to focus on the needs of those in our community. We have partnered with several very wonderful local organizations, and this year is no different. We are partnering this Advent with YoungLives Saratoga : an organization that seeks to provide support, encouragement, and mentoring for young mothers and their children. We will have a special focus each week for giving, which is as follows:

• December 14-20: Pray for and give Christmas Cards to YoungLives families
• December 21-24: Special giving to bless Next Steps: a new crisis pregnancy center in Queensbury

Below are the prayer requests for which you can be praying this week:

• That the YoungLives mentors (Juli, Michele, and Katie) and moms would experience Jesus through “A Light Shines in the Darkness” devotional that we are attempting to do together for advent.
• That BH, TR, AW and KG would trust in Jesus as their Lord and Savior
• That Juli, the YLVS Coordinator, would receive ministry direction, train new mentors, and meet new moms in 2021
• B (20yr) and her son, A and daughter, I: for A & I’s speech development
• T (19yr) and her daughter, M: for M’s health/food allergies and that T would be able to see God throughout the Christmas season and not focus so much on the earthly things of Christmas
• A (22yr) and her sons, W, N, and L; daughter, S; and husband, T.: for their a adjustment to having four children as twins were just born Nov. 10; for their finances- especially new job for T
• A (19yr) and her sons, K and K: for the boys to stay healthy and for safe and healthy delivery of A’s third son, M, due January 12th.
• A (20yr) and her daughter, L: for good things for the season
• S (20yr) and her daughter, R: S as she is getting GED, in job training and in new housing situation
