2022 Sabbatical | Updates for Pastor Daniel and Terra Saratoga
Thank you all for your love and support of the Williams family as Daniel heads off for his sabbatical. This is a much needed and carefully planned respite for Daniel and his family.
Here are some helpful guidelines for the sabbatical that will last from May 1st through August 31st.
Prayer: Please commit to pray for Daniel and his family daily.
Communication: Please do not initiate any communication with Daniel. He is intentionally removing himself from the normal rhythms of life so he can find rest and then be able to enter back into ministry life in September.
Church attendance: The Williams will not be attending Terra Nova Church for the duration of the sabbatical. They will be worshiping with other local churches.
Pastoral needs and communication: When pastoral needs arise, please reach out to me, Pastor Matt. Please don’t hesitate to ask for help concerning care, counseling, practical or spiritual needs. Any administrative or operations need should be directed to Amber Jacobi. Any need related to Terra Kids should be directed to Kristina Wyman.
Preaching: Preaching will be covered by myself and a number of guest preachers from within and also outside the Terra family of churches.
Officiating services: Daniel will not be officiating any special services while on sabbatical. If you have a need for such a service, please contact myself.
Extra Support: Reuben Todd, who is an elder-in-process, will be using his gifts to help support myself and the Terra family during the sabbatical. In addition, Amber Jacobi, Madison Wyman and Bernadette VanDeinse will be increasing their serving roles considerably. I want to pause and thank them and everyone else that will be serving our church family in extra ways.
If you have any additional questions or need for clarification I’m happy to provide answers and information. If you missed out on Pastor Daniel’s email where he lays out what his sabbatical will look like, you can check it out here.
Again, please pray daily for the Williams, and for the love of Jesus, the power of His Holy Spirit, and the hand of our Father to restore, renew, teach, care for and guide them during the next four months.
