We have a Baseball Chaplain on Staff

This summer Terra Nova, Troy has an opportunity to pastor our city with the Tri-City ValleyCats.  Pastor Bill has been asked by the Baseball Chapel organization to serve as the Chaplain this summer for the ValleyCats who play at the Joe Bruno Stadium in Troy.  We are excited for the opportunities that he will have to share Christ’s love with the young men who will spend their summer playing for our home team.  This will also be an opportunity for him to connect with the staff of the ValleyCats and other members of our community.

Pastor Bill will lead chapel six times during the regular season in the afternoons before their Sunday home games.  Primarily he will be there for the guys on the ValleyCats roster; but he will also lead chapels for the visiting squads and the umpires.  Along with that Bill will have opportunities to be a pastoral presence for the team and meet with those that might have questions about faith or want to talk about life issues.

Please pray for Bill and the opportunities that he will have to serve in our community this summer.  Pray for the young men who will be living here in Troy for the summer, as most will come from across the country and Latin America.  We may have opportunities to serve them in specific ways through hosting some of them for an event/cookout; so email Bill if you might have interest in helping with something like that.

Lastly, on both July 25 and August 18 the ValleyCats will be hosting two “Faith, Family, and Fellowship Days” at 7:00pm.  Let’s get a big group wearing our latest Terra T-shirts and support our home team.
