“Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.”
Proverbs 11:14
We are excited to announce the formation of an Advisory & Accountability Council (“The Council”) for Terra Nova – Berkshires. We believe this is an important step in our journey of planting a church; that we seek wise counsel, guidance and oversight from trusted mentors for a season that allows the church to identify, train and recognize its future elders.
Serving on The Council are trusted individuals who support the mission, vision and values of Terra Nova and are willing to give of their time to consult with us and to hold us accountable to Biblical living and church leadership. The Council will gather quarterly over the next year.
At this point, we have four members of the Advisory & Accountability Council and we are pleased to introduce to you to them. Join us in saying thank you for their service.
Denny has planted 2 churches in PA & NJ and currently lives in Brewster, NY with his wife, Lora, and 3 children. Denny was first connected to Terra Nova’s work in Western New England through Converge Northeast and has been an encourager and supporter ever since.
Steve and his wife, Odette, live in Williamstown, MA and are committed members of our Core Group and have hosted our Tribe gatherings and Sunday gatherings to date. Steve and Odette were formerly core group members of a church plant in the south-suburbs of Chicago as well. Steve has worked at Williams College for 10-years.
Ed is the Senior Pastor of the Terra Nova Network and the founding church planter for Terra Nova – Troy, NY in 2006. Ed also planted King’s Chapel in Glenmont, NY and served as the Acts 29 Northeast Director from 2005 through 2015. Ed and his wife, Diane, live in Delmar, NY.
Paul served as an elder at Terra Nova – Troy, NY for 6 years, and as the Executive Pastor for 3+ years. Paul, and is wife, Nicole, and 2 young children are now living in North Adams, MA. Paul will be serving as the Lead Pastor in the Berkshires and will also continue as the Executive Pastor of the Terra Nova Network.
