This Sunday our service times officially change to 9AM and 11AM. Post a reminder on your fridge, your phone, or if need be . . . your forehead. Don’t be that guy that walks in ready for church at 10AM or NOON, just as Pastor Ed is finishing his sermon.

On the same day, Terra Kids is adding a second kids program. Parents will now be able to attend either service in relative peace knowing that your children are being cared for well in the education building. We are still looking for a few more volunteers to serve with Terra Kids. Shoot me an email at phil@terranovachurch.org to apply.

Human trafficking is a $32 billion dollar criminal industry.  A staggering number that can deceive us into thinking nothing will ever change.  Yet Americans will spend $16 billion dollars on flowers, candy and dinner this Valentines Day alone.  What kind of difference could we make if we took just a small portion of that money and applied it to the fight against modern day slavery.

There will be flowers, candles and ridiculous amounts of chocolate.  There will be great live music and dancing.  There will be wines and Brown’s craft beers.  There will be romance galore.  This year you can have all those things and make your Valentine’s Day an act of worship, demonstrating  a love that is deeper than what Cupid has to offer.

The reality is that many reading this are mired in debt. Others are living paycheck to paycheck. Still others have no clue how to plan for  their financial future.

Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University is coming to Terra Nova and this is your opportunity to get your financial house in order.

THE DETAILS

Dates: Sunday, February 5th at 1PM is the information class. This gives you an opportunity to learn about the program and decide if you are ready for this kind of change and can commit the time to the class.

Sunday, February 19th at 2PM begins this 13 week class (taking a break for Easter only).

Cost: $100 per household covers all materials needed and gets you access to further resources at the FPU website. There will be a few scholarships available to cover up to $50 of the registration cost. (Only available if you attend all 13 weeks).

Location: In the large back room in the education/office building at 409 River Street.

Food: We will not be providing food at this event as the cost of doing so for 13 weeks would get expensive. We’ve intentionally scheduled the course for 2PM with the idea that you can get some lunch after the second service and then come back.

Childcare: No childcare will be provided.

This 13 week course will guide you through biblical, practical principles of financial management and give you tools to build a stronger debt-free foundation for the future.
