The Frequently Asked Questions series brings together questions that you submitted earlier this year into a 10 week sermon series.

You may not see your exact question below, but it may be embedded in the scope of a particular week. For example, several people asked about Deacons or Elders and what the Bible says about who can be in those roles. All of those differently worded questions are combined into one sermon on “What the Bible says about Church Leadership”.

Here is the full schedule. This is going to be a great series. Be sure to invite others.

FAQ SERIES BREAKDOWN—APRIL 22-JUNE 24

April 22- What is the will of God and how does that relate to Free Will?

April 29- What is the role of the Holy Spirit today?

May 6- What does the Bible say about church leadership?

(Note: On May 6th, Daniel Williams will be recognized officially as a Pastor at Terra Nova!)

May 13- What is the difference among denominations and cults?

May 20- How did we get the Bible and can we trust it?

May 27-How do we interpret the Bible and apply it to our lives today?

June 3- What does the Bible say about water Baptism?

June 10- What does the Bible say about sex?

June 17- What does the Bible say about dating, marriage and divorce?

June 24- Why believe in Jesus and not some other god, or no god?

Each year as a community of faith we pause on Good Friday to solemnly reflect on the Cross of Christ . . . the death of God’s Son, Jesus. We don’t rush forward to Easter just yet. We stay there on Good Friday, feeling the weight of death and our own sin. We leave the darkness of Good Friday quietly and reverently.

But of course . . . we know what’s coming next. We know that on Easter morning, Jesus rose from the dead. So on Sunday, we throw off the pall of Good Friday for the bright hope of the Resurrection. Our mourning turns to dancing as we celebrate the fact that we worship a risen Christ who will one day return to our broken earth to remake, renew and restore all that we see.

We hope to see you on Friday night and again on Sunday. All services are in Revolution Hall.

It’s hard to believe that over a year ago an amazing tragedy hit Japan in the form of an earthquake and Tsunami, and then nuclear plant damage.

In the midst of this surreal landscape, the small but growing church of Japan looked for ways to respond to the needs by demonstrating the very practical love of Christ.

One year later, when the rest of the world has moved on to other problems, we want to call your attention back to this corner of the world and the continuing needs.

Pastor Ed has connected with a solid and trustworthy missionary family in Japan. They’ve been serving there for 25 years and they are continuing to serve in the wake of these distasters.

Read the full story in THIS ARTICLE that Pastor Ed wrote for TheResurgence blog.

Terra artist, Kevin Richardson created the limited edition Risograph poster that you see pictured below. You can purchase a copy HERE. If you are local and picking up the poster at Terra Nova, be sure to enter the code “noshipping”. Please note that we cannot ship to anyone who uses this code.
The Posters are only available for purchase till April 30th. All proceeds go to Mission To The World.
