BAPTISM SUNDAY // July 1st

On July 1st, we look forward to baptizing as many as are ready and willing. In order to be baptized on this date, please attend church on June 3rd (When Pastor Ed will teach on Baptism in the FAQ Series). Baptism forms will be available that day to be filled out.

DANIEL WILLIAMS | terra’s newest pastor

This past Sunday, we had the privilege of welcoming Daniel Williams into an official pastoral role at Terra on Elder Team. Daniel has been with us for over 6 years in multiple volunteer roles while completing his Seminary degree. He has proved himself as a Godly man and Godly husband. He has demonstrated incredible leadership skill and a real pastors heart.

Daniel will serve as the location pastor for Terra Nova in Saratoga as well as the Discipleship Pastor for all Terra locations.

Please welcome Daniel and Lea.

The Frequently Asked Questions series brings together questions that you submitted earlier this year into a 10 week sermon series.

You may not see your exact question below, but it may be embedded in the scope of a particular week. For example, several people asked about Deacons or Elders and what the Bible says about who can be in those roles. All of those differently worded questions are combined into one sermon on “What the Bible says about Church Leadership”.

Here is the full schedule. This is going to be a great series. Be sure to invite others.

I’m pleased to provide an attachment that is a 4-day devotional guide. Several people from Terra Nova came together to collaborate and write this guide for our community to use during this Holy Week. The devotional guide has sections for study, worship, contemplation, and conversation starters for parents and children.

We hope this devotional aids your time of focusing on Christ’s incarnation, crucifixion and resurrection this week leading up to Easter. It is designed to be used from Maunday Thursday through till Easter Sunday.

GOOD FRIDAY & EASTER @ terra nova

Each year as a community of faith we pause on Good Friday to solemnly reflect on the Cross of Christ . . . the death of God’s Son, Jesus. We don’t rush forward to Easter just yet. We stay there on Good Friday, feeling the weight of death and our own sin. We leave the darkness of Good Friday quietly and reverently.

But of course . . . we know what’s coming next. We know that on Easter morning, Jesus rose from the dead. So on Sunday, we throw off the pall of Good Friday for the bright hope of the Resurrection. Our mourning turns to dancing as we celebrate the fact that we worship a risen Christ who will one day return to our broken earth to remake, renew and restore all that we see.

We hope to see you on Friday night and again on Sunday. All services are in Revolution Hall.

JAPAN RELIEF | one year later

It’s hard to believe that over a year ago an amazing tragedy hit Japan in the form of an earthquake and Tsunami, and then nuclear plant damage.

In the midst of this surreal landscape, the small but growing church of Japan looked for ways to respond to the needs by demonstrating the very practical love of Christ.

One year later, when the rest of the world has moved on to other problems, we want to call your attention back to this corner of the world and the continuing needs.

Pastor Ed has connected with a solid and trustworthy missionary family in Japan. They’ve been serving there for 25 years and they are continuing to serve in the wake of these distasters.
